Spooktober is upon us, but hark! What is that s
ound? It is the sound of our Halloween Event, 'FRIGHT NIGHT'.
We at Birtley Community Centre welcome you bac
k Post-COVID lockdown with our first family friendly event since the start of the pandemic, Fright Night will take place on Saturday 30th October from 4pm=6pm and it is a ticketed event; tickets are indeed limited. Tickets are £2.50 per person, but what exactly will be happening?
Here you will find the agenda for the evening, if you are a ticket holder, you should expect to arrive between 3:35pm and 4pm.
From 4pm Fright Night will contain:
Party Games
Spooky Bake Off
Pumpkin Coin Toss (for both children and a
dults, (Pssst, adults! I heard from a little bird that there might be a bottle of whisky or something in it for you- but don't tell anyone!)
Best Outfit / Fancy Dress Competition
Pumpkin Competition
Raffle
Football Cards (Halloween Edition)
Refreshments
How exciting! As you can see there is something for everybody of all ages!
You may be looking at some of these activities and are wondering what does this consist of? Don't worry, I'll provide you with some instructions now.
Best Outfit / Fancy Dress Competition
As usual, we will be doing a Fancy Dress Com
petition as usual, and this is for children only. Children are encouraged to dr
ess up in their spookiest costumes, and walk the spooky runway where our judges will select a Winner and Runner Up!
SPOOKY BAKE OFF!
Are you the best baker in Birtley? Why not prove it?
This year we are introducing our very first Spooky Bake Off and we hope you will take part!
All you have to do is bake a cake/treat prior to the event, bring it in and our judge will taste each entry and select a Winner, Runner up and Third Place who will then receive a prize. Our judge will be looking for the following qualities:
Taste
Presentation
Quality
If you wish to take part in the Spooky Bake Off that evening, please inbox our page and we will issue a Spooky Bake Off application form. (I should reiterate that only ticket holders can apply)
Pumpkin Competition
As always we will be hosting our Pumpkin Competition, and here are the rules:
Pumpkins MUST be homemade/carved at home
Only one pumpkin can be submitted per a child
As stated, this event will take place on Saturday 30th October from 4pm-6pm. Tickets are only £2.50 per person, and can be purchased directly from the Birtley Community Centre Office. If you have any questions or queries regarding Fright Night, please don't hesitate to contact us.
